Amy Hoyes from the Grand Ledge Chamber of Commerce is our guest for this episode to discuss fundraising. At this time, many Chambers are looking for additional non=dues funds to supplement their budgets in the wake of the COVID-19 economic impact. Amy has a great background in fundraising through events, grants, and other community collaborations. In our discussion, Amy shares some of the events that are very successful in her community which may surprise you. She also discusses the importance of making enough of a profit to allow your Chamber to build a healthy reserve fund. We have seen recently, just how important these reserve funds are. Overall, Amy covers her perspective on how to plan for budgets, forecast earnings from events/programs, and how to get into the budgets of your sponsoring businesses.
