What is the Chamber Podcast Survey?
Chambers love to do their R&D. I am helping you in this process by producing the Chamber Podcast Survey. The accompanying report to shows you the data behind how Chambers are podcasting.
I did all of the hard work to look up all of the Chambers that I could find who currently have podcasts. After looking up all of the contact information for each of these Chambers, I sent them each an invitation to participate in what I called a Chamber Podcasting Benchmarking Survey.
The results of the survey were sent back to each Chamber who participated. This way they could see how they measure up to other Chambers in the podcasting space.
The questions covered how long they have been podcasting. I asked how much time they spend each week on their podcast and how much money they spend each month. I asked about the frequency and the format of their episodes and who their primary audience is.
Is podcasting worth it for my Chamber?
The results were eye-opening and they shed a lot of light on what it takes for a Chamber to podcast. Once you submit this form, you will receive an email instantly with a downloadable PDF with the survey results. I added some of my own remarks to the responses to give added insight.
My hope is that with more podcasting data that more Chambers can make the decision to join us in the podcasting arena.
In the words of Casey Steinbacher, “If the mission is prosperous communities, and the key strategy is transformational influence, then the core tactic for a successful execution of that strategy is constant, high-quality, diverse, community-nuanced, widely distributed content.”
Podcasting is the perfect platform to embrace your Chambers role as an influencer in your community. This new platform provides new ways to monetize your influence. It is also a great tool to reach that much wider audience which is your greater community!
