The pivot to podcasting is proving to be a great move for many Chambers of Commerce. Chamber podcasting gained a lot of traction through the COVID pandemic and much like other programs that were initiated during those trying times, podcasting is something that is sticking around. Podcasting is a fast growing platform that your community is becoming more and more familiar with. You can even generate some healthy non-dues revenue from a podcast.
Fact: Chambers who monetize their podcast earn between $5,000-$10,000 annually.
We hear from many in the Chamber world that Chambers should be story tellers. We hear that Chambers should become media channels in their communities. Unfortunately, this often is understood to mean that Chambers need to tell stories on social media and the story ends there. Social media is a great tool, but it is just that, a tool. Podcasting is a platform where you can own your content, your message, and your delivery. Social media can be used to perpetuate your content. I like to say that in general, people turn to social media to tune out, not to tune in. In contrast people ACTIVELY tune in for podcasts!
Fact: 90% of podcast subscribers listen to all or most of each podcast episode they are subscribed to. Compare that to your social media or email engagement.

I started by helping Chambers one by one, start their podcast. I created a consulting strategy that was very time consuming on both ends and expensive. I decided to put this information into a course to streamline the process, allowing me to help more Chambers, and to save your Chamber money.
When I started Chamber Chat Podcast, it took me months to research how to start and produce a podcast. I have taken the lessons that I learned and I have distilled it into time saving strategies to make podcasting powerfully efficient way to connect with your community. My goal is to save you a ton of time and frustration while also showing you how podcasting can be done very economically.
